Key takeaways

  • Promote the wall to your own genuine users, with a clear entry they choose to open and honest wording about what they must do to earn.
  • Pop-ups that open by themselves, hidden frames, paywalls, spam, misleading claims, bots, proxies, purchased installs and completing offers yourself are prohibited.
  • Keep the wall away from anyone under 16 and from adult, illegal or infringing content, and never tie rewards to likes, follows, joins or reviews on another platform.

How are you allowed to promote your offerwall?

You may promote the Moonetix offerwall to your own real users, through a clear entry point they choose to open, with honest wording about what they must do to earn. You may not force it on people, open it without a click, hide it, spam it, buy installs or bot traffic for it, or describe offers as easier or more rewarding than they are. Every rule on this page comes from section 7 of our Terms of Service.

This guide is the quick version: a do and don’t table and short examples you can check your own promotion against. The traffic quality rules explain the reasoning and what happens to your earnings, and Offerwall placement covers where to put the wall to earn more. Neither is repeated here.

The do and don’t table

If a promotion idea does not appear in the table, ask yourself two questions taken straight from the Terms: is every person who reaches the wall a genuine human who chose to open it, and does everything they saw before opening it describe the rewards honestly? If either answer is no, do not run it. If you are unsure, ask us in Chat with us in your dashboard before you start.

Entry points: what “the user’s click” means

The placement rule is about who opens the wall. A user who taps “Earn coins” and sees the wall in a pop-up, a new tab or a WebView has made a choice. A wall that appears on its own when a page loads, when a timer runs out, or when the user taps something unrelated has not been chosen, and the Terms prohibit it.

  • Allowed: a floating “Earn” button that opens the wall in a pop-up when clicked; a link in your navigation; a prompt such as “You need 200 more coins. Earn them now?” with a button the user presses.
  • Prohibited: a wall that opens in a new window as the home page loads; a pop-under that sits behind the browser until the user closes it; a wall loaded in a frame the user cannot see.

The offerwall link docs show the click-to-open options, including the floating button and the embed script. The same applies to individual Moonetix tracking links. A link to one offer must not sit in a hidden iframe, open in a window without a click, or appear behind a paywall.

Honest wording, with examples

“Misleading promotion” is prohibited traffic under the Terms, and so is any context that misdescribes what a user must do to earn. In practice that covers your posts, banners, emails, push messages, Discord announcements and the label on the button itself.

HonestMisleading
“Earn coins by trying apps, games and surveys.”“Free coins, no strings attached.” Offers have requirements, so there are strings.
“Some offers pay more for reaching a level or making a purchase. Check each offer’s steps.”“Install this game and get 5,000 coins”, when the reward needs level 20 or a deposit.
“Rewards are credited when the advertiser confirms your completion.”“Instant rewards on every offer”, when many results are pending first.
“Offers vary by country.”Promising a specific offer or reward to people in countries where it is not shown.

When you promote one specific offer, copy its requirements from the wall, not from memory, and check that it is still live in the countries you are posting to. The same honesty applies to how you describe Moonetix: your users should know that offers come from third parties and that you, not Moonetix, credit and pay their rewards under your own terms. If you earn from a sign-up, say so plainly; the FTC’s Endorsement Guides FAQ asks for clear and conspicuous disclosure of that kind of relationship, close to the recommendation (checked on November 4, 2026).

Email, Discord and Telegram

Most offerwall promotion happens in messages, and messages carry their own rules on top of ours.

  • Email. Send offerwall news only to people who signed up to hear from you. In the US, the FTC’s CAN-SPAM Act compliance guide says the law covers all commercial messages and that each separate email in violation can bring penalties of up to $53,088 (checked on November 4, 2026). Honest subject lines and a working unsubscribe link are part of it.
  • Discord. Announcing your wall in your own server is fine. Discord’s platform manipulation policy bans spam and inflating server membership, and names “invite rewards” and join-for-join schemes, so never reward people for joining or inviting.
  • Telegram and other communities. Post to your own channel or group, never mass-message strangers or other people’s groups.

Never tie rewards to engagement on another platform, such as likes, follows, subscribes, joins, reviews or ratings. Google Play’s User Ratings, Reviews, and Installs policy says not to offer rewards or incentives for ratings or reviews, and most platforms have a similar rule. How to monetize a Discord server and How to monetize a Telegram channel show where the wall fits in a community.

Sharing a single offer

You can send one offer instead of the whole wall with a direct offer link from the Offers page. It is not a public share link: every direct link carries the user ID and hash of one user, so it belongs in a message to that user, such as an email to a member or a reply from your bot. Do not paste one user’s link into a public channel, and do not reward people for clicking links outside the wall. A public post can describe an offer honestly and send people to the Earn page on your own site, app or bot, where they open it themselves.

Who may see and use the wall

Most promotion problems are really audience problems, so check where a post or campaign will land before you run it:

  • Age. End users must be at least 16, and those under 18 should have a parent’s permission. Do not promote the wall in places aimed at children, such as a kids’ game server or a school group. See Offerwall age rules.
  • Country. Offers are priced and targeted by country, so a promotion that tells people to switch on a VPN to see “better offers” asks them to break the rules, and the wall blocks VPN users anyway.
  • Repeat earning. Never suggest extra accounts, devices, or browsers to earn more. Each user completes each offer once.

The full list of what users may and may not do is in the traffic quality rules, and Stop multi-accounting and VPN abuse shows how to enforce it on your own property.

Buying traffic and paying for clicks

The Terms name two paid methods directly: purchased installs, and incentivized clicking outside the offerwall, which means paying or rewarding people to click tracking links somewhere other than the wall itself. Both are prohibited. Whatever else you do to grow your property, the people who reach the wall must still be genuine humans who use your property for its own sake, and nothing they saw on the way may misdescribe the rewards.

Two more rules close the obvious loopholes. You must not complete offers on your own properties to generate revenue, and you must not create several properties to reuse the same traffic. You are also responsible for anyone who promotes for you, such as partners, contractors or sub-publishers: their breaches count as yours. Keep a record of each campaign and source, because the Terms ask you to keep traffic source records for 12 months.

What you promise your users

Promotion creates expectations, and the Terms make you responsible for meeting them. As a publisher you need your own terms of service and privacy notice, any consent your users’ jurisdictions require before their data reaches us, and you must credit and pay the rewards you promise. Your property must explain how rewards work and when they are paid, and must not ask users to pay to join or to unlock their rewards. Rewards site terms of service lists what to cover.

What happens if promotion breaks the rules

Results that come from prohibited traffic can be rejected or reversed, and amounts derived from fraudulent or prohibited activity are not payable. We may hold earnings, block devices or users from offers, limit offers for an app, pause an app whose traffic quality stays poor, or suspend an integration that presents a security, legal or fraud risk, and we tell you why. A bad campaign usually shows up first in Reports, Traffic quality, where you can group blocked users by sub ID. How Moonetix checks traffic quality explains the process from a suspicious result to an account review.

Plan your promotion before you apply

Moonetix is a pay-per-result affiliate network, and every publisher application is reviewed by hand, including how and where you plan to show the wall. Check your entry points and wording against the table above, then read Get your publisher account approved.

Frequently asked questions

Can I open the offerwall in a pop-up?

Yes, if the user clicks a button or link first, for example with our embed script. Pop-ups or new windows that open without the user’s click, and pop-unders, are not allowed.

Can I post a single offer on social media or Discord?

You can describe an offer honestly, with its real requirements, and point people to the Earn page on your own site, app or bot. Direct offer links are signed for one user, so send them only to that user, and never reward people for clicking tracking links outside the offerwall.

Can I reward users for following or joining my channels?

No. Rewarding likes, follows, subscribes, joins, reviews or ratings breaks the rules of most platforms, including Discord and Google Play. Let people follow you on their own and reward them only for offers completed on the wall.

Can I put the offerwall behind a paywall?

No. The Terms do not allow the wall behind a paywall, such as a paid membership or a purchase users must make before they can open it. Keep it free to open, as an optional way to earn your currency.

Can I test my own offerwall?

Check your integration with a test postback from Integration status on your app’s Integration tab instead. Completing real offers on your own properties to generate revenue is prohibited.

Can I tell users the offerwall is part of my site?

You can style it to match your site, but you must not present Moonetix as your own product or hide that the offers are supplied by third parties.
