Web apps & AI

Free users who never pay can still earn you credits.

Your free tier costs you inference, storage and support. Give signed-in free users an optional way to earn extra generations, exports or premium minutes by completing offers, while paying users keep their plan.

  • 3,000+ offersby country and device
  • No SDKlink, iframe or button
  • Server-sidesigned postback per reward

How do you monetize an AI tool website or web app?

Most AI tools and web apps combine a paid plan with a capped free tier. To earn from free users too, add an optional earn page where signed-in users complete advertiser offers, such as trying an app or answering a survey, and receive your credits. You earn per completed offer. Your server builds a signed offerwall link, and credits arrive only through a signed postback. Show the option at the free limit, next to your upgrade button, and keep core features free without it.

How it works for Web apps & AI.

From the first click to the reward in your currency, in five steps.

  1. User hits the free limit

A signed-in free user runs out of today’s generations or exports and sees Upgrade next to an optional Earn credits button.

  2. Server signs the wall link

Your backend reads the session, signs your own user ID with your link hash salt and returns the finished link. The browser never sees the salt.

  3. Wall opens on your site

The offerwall loads in an iframe on your earn page or in a pop-up from the Earn button, on the https site you registered.

  4. User completes an offer

The user picks an offer shown for their country and device and completes it. A started offer is not a result yet.

  5. Postback adds the credits

Your server verifies the signed postback, adds the credits once per transaction ID, and the user can generate again.

Why Web apps & AI owners add Moonetix.

One pay-per-result affiliate network, built around your currency and your users.

  • Earn from users who never pay

Most free users will not subscribe. An optional wall lets them pay for extra usage with an action, and you earn per completed offer instead of only covering costs.

  • Paying users see no change

Show the Earn button only on the free plan. Subscribers keep their allowance with no extra screens in their workflow.

  • Credits that match your pricing

Set your credit name, icon, rate per $1, user split and rounding, so earned credits map to generations, exports or minutes and cost you less than offers pay.

  • Fits any web stack

One signed link works in Next.js, Vue, Laravel, Django or plain HTML. See the Next.js and React guide for tested code.

  • Offer cards inside your product

The Offers API returns offers per user as JSON with signed start links, so you can show them as cards in your own UI.

  • See which placement earns

Tag links with sub IDs such as sub1=limit_screen and compare clicks, conversions and reversals in reports and the Reporting API.

Out of credits? Earn more, or upgrade.

The moment a free user runs out is the moment an earn option helps most. Paying users never see it.

Example screen. The offerwall opens on your earn page.

  • Credits as the currency

Set credits per $1 and the user share, so each offer shows how many generations or exports it is worth.

  • Free users only

Show the earn option to free accounts. Your paid plan stays the simple, fast path.

  • Granted by postback

Your backend adds credits when the signed postback arrives, and removes them on a reversal.

Keep credits honest.

Few platform rules cover a web earn page, so most of this is fair dealing with your users. If you also run AdSense, its policies apply. Moonetix’s terms set the age limit and placement rules.

Do

  • Keep every core feature usable without the wall. Earned credits add extra runs, larger files or premium minutes, never access to the tool itself.
  • State what credits buy before users open the wall, and show the reward the wall shows. Change your rate or split in the dashboard, not the number on screen.
  • Say that offers come from third-party advertisers. Moonetix’s terms do not allow hiding that from end users.
  • Show the Earn option only to signed-in users who are 16 or older, with parental permission under 18, as Moonetix’s terms require.

Do not

  • Never put results, files or downloads behind “complete an offer to continue”. That is a content locker, which is not allowed.
  • Never give credits for viewing or clicking display ads. AdSense says any incentive for clicks on ads is strictly prohibited.
  • Never give credits for reviews, shares, follows, invites or votes. Credits come only from offers completed on the wall.
  • Never open the wall on page load, on a timer or in a hidden frame. Moonetix’s terms allow a pop-up only after the user clicks.

Set it up in four steps.

  1. Apply as a publisher

Create an account and apply with your web app. Every application is reviewed by hand, and once you are approved, the apps you add are live right away.

  2. Add your site and set credits

Name the currency after your credits, add an icon, and set the rate per $1, user split and rounding. Price it so earned credits cost you less in inference than offers pay.

  3. Add an earn page or button

Your server signs the link for the signed-in user. Use an iframe on an earn page, the floating Earn button, or your own button with data-moonetix-open.

  4. Credit on postback, then test

Add credits once per transaction ID and take them back on a reversal. Use Open as a test user and Send a test postback in Integration status before launch.

Web apps & AI questions

What web apps & ai owners ask before they add Moonetix.

Still have a question? Contact us

How do AI tools make money from free users?

Most cap the free tier on a cheaper model and show the paid plan at the limit. Some add ads, referral credits, or an optional offerwall where free users earn extra credits by completing offers.

Can users earn free credits on an AI tool?

Yes, if the tool offers it. Free users complete an offer, such as trying an app or a survey, and your server adds credits when the signed postback arrives. See how to monetize an AI app.

How many credits should one offer give?

Price credits so their inference or processing cost stays below what the offer pays you. Set the rate per $1 and the user split in the dashboard, and check the math with the virtual currency calculator.

Can I require an offer before users can use my tool?

No. That is a content locker, and content lockers are not allowed with Moonetix. The wall must be optional, and the free tool must keep working without it.

What happens if a user spends credits and the offer is reversed?

You get a status 2 postback for the same transaction ID. Take the credits back once, and decide in your terms whether a balance may go below zero. Reward hold periods covers the trade-off.

Can I show offers inside my own app UI?

Yes. Call the Offers API from your server with your app’s API key, render the offers as cards, and open each start link when the user clicks Start. Never call the API from the browser.

Why does the offerwall not load in my iframe?

Frames and pop-ups only load on https pages of the website you registered for the app and its subdomains. Opening the link directly in a new tab works everywhere.

Can I mix ads and an offerwall on a web app?

Yes, but keep them separate. AdSense does not allow compensating users for viewing ads or performing searches outside rewarded inventory, so credits must come only from completed offers.
