Key takeaways
- A payout is added to your balance when a result is credited (status 1), which happens as soon as the advertiser confirms it.
- A reversal (status 2) carries the same transaction ID and takes the payout back from your balance.
- Earnings are paid monthly on Net‑15 terms, with a $25 minimum; smaller amounts carry over, and discrepancies must be raised within 30 days.
When do you earn as a publisher?
You earn the moment a result on your wall is credited. The payout stays yours unless the result is later reversed or, rarely, its advertiser does not pay for it. Every offer follows the same lifecycle, and every step is reported to your server with the same transaction_id:
| Status | Meaning | Your Moonetix balance |
|---|---|---|
1 credited | The result is approved and final. | The payout is added. |
2 reversed | A credited result was taken back later. | The payout is taken back. |
An offer step is credited as soon as the advertiser reports it from their server, which is usually instant and sometimes takes up to 24 hours when an advertiser confirms in batches. An offer with several steps sends each step as its own result. The Credits and reversals docs show the whole path.
Payout vs reward: two amounts in every postback
Each postback carries two amounts. {payout} is what you earn for the transaction, in US dollars. {reward} is what your user gets in your own currency, after your conversion rate, user split, and rounding. Both are never negative: the status tells you whether to add or take back. You are paid in US dollars whatever split you give your users.
Settlement and minimum payout
Payouts run on Net‑15 terms. Earnings confirmed in a calendar month are settled after that month ends: a payout statement appears on your Payments page on the 1st, and it is paid after a final review. The minimum payout is $25 by default, and you can raise it to $50, $100, $200, $500, or $1,000 on your Payments page: a smaller amount carries over to the next month, and reversed results are deducted first. Payouts are sent by PayPal, with a 5.5% fee and a $100 minimum, or in crypto: BTC, LTC, SOL, TRX, BNB on BNB Smart Chain, or USDC on Polygon, with a 1% fee; choose your method under Payout method in Account. Earnings from an offer become payable once we have received the matching payment from its advertiser: if an advertiser pays late, pays less, or does not pay, the related earnings can be delayed, reduced, or cancelled, and we tell you when this happens. Your account holds these earnings, so protect it with login 2FA and trusted devices.
How reversals and chargebacks work
A reversal, also called a chargeback, takes back a result that was already credited. It is rare with clean traffic, and traffic quality is the part you control. Common reasons are fraud, such as multiple accounts, bots, or hidden VPN traffic, a result that was refunded, or requirements that turned out not to be met.
We never change or delete the postback you already received. Instead, we send a new one for the same transaction:
{transaction_id}is the same as in the status 1 postback you credited.{status}is2and{state}isreversed.{reward}and{payout}are the same positive amounts as in the credit.{event_id}is new.
On our side, the transaction is marked as reversed with the date, and the payout is deducted from your Moonetix balance. Your user sees the offer as Reversed in My offers on your offerwall.
On your side, take the reward back from that user, but only if you credited that transaction, and only once. If the user has already spent it, you decide how to handle it, for example by letting the balance go below zero or holding withdrawals until it is recovered. Make sure your own terms allow it. The Credits and reversals docs cover the details, and the traffic quality rules for publishers help keep reversals rare.
Where to see your results in the dashboard
Every result appears under Reports, Conversions with its current status, every reversal under Reports, Chargebacks with the date it was reversed, and every call to your server under Reports, Postbacks. When a user says a reward is missing, check Conversions first, then Postbacks to see whether your server accepted the call. The Payments page adds a monthly payout statement with chargebacks taken off. How to read your dashboard and reports explains every figure and filter.
Postbacks and reporting
Every result reaches you through signed server-to-server postbacks and appears in your reports. Our records are the reference for settlement, so keep your own logs and compare them regularly. If you find a discrepancy, raise it with support@moonetix.com within 30 days of the period in question.
If your account closes
If we close your account for a reason other than a breach of our terms, confirmed earnings remain payable, and the liability limit in our terms never reduces them. If you delete your account yourself, earnings not yet paid out are forfeited.
Before you apply: estimate your offerwall earnings
Publisher applications are open. Plan before you apply: who would open your wall, what share you pass on, and how you handle a status 2 reversal. To put a rough number on what your audience could earn, read How much can you earn with an offerwall?
Frequently asked questions
When are my earnings confirmed?
When the result is credited and you receive a status 1 postback. This works the same way for every offer on your wall. Only the time until the final result differs by offer type.
Do pending results count toward my balance?
No. Most results are credited as soon as the advertiser confirms them, and you receive a status 1 postback. A small share goes through a short extra traffic check first, usually about a day, and shows as Pending under Reports, Conversions. Until a result is credited, nothing is sent and nothing is added to your balance. If we reject it, it is never credited and you get no postback.
How do I recognize a reversal?
You receive a status 2 postback with the same transaction ID as the credit and the same positive amounts. It also appears under Reports, Chargebacks in your dashboard.
What if my earnings are below the minimum payout?
It carries over. The minimum payout is $25 unless you chose a higher one, and everything below it moves to the next month until the total reaches your minimum. Your Payments page shows how much is still missing.
How long do I have to report a discrepancy?
Raise it with support@moonetix.com within 30 days of the period in question.
